Incoming physical condition:   Grossly underweight at 28 pounds, whip and hook worms, kennel cough and Campylobactor bacterial infection, and intact.

Estimated age:   1 to 1.5 years

Temperament:  Very sweet

Training:   No formal training observed

Notes:  This is a dog that will bring great joy to some ones heart and provide a lifetime of unconditional love. What a luv bug on four legs!!

Kudo's to the Pikeville shelter staff and volunteers! Working on a tight timeline, they had just days to arrange transport to Lexington and obtain a Health Cert for travel.

Buddy "had" to be in Scottsburg, IN by Friday night in order to hitch a ride on previously scheduled transport to Chicago. Rose and Jane did it with time to spare!!

Going into foster care 3/30 so we'll soon have some insight to his personality and habits!

Temporarily on hold for medical reasons

With a heavy heart and deep sadness we said farewell to Buddy 1/3/11 at the U of I when it was realized he was in the finally stages of kidney failure. Surrounded by staff and his foster Mom, Buddy enjoyed bites of chicken, dog treats and other tasty tid-bits that were previously prohibited due to diet restrictions. Hugs, kisses and belly rubs were plentiful as he slowly faded away. Godspeed little buddy, Godspeed
