Incoming: 6-23-06 Daniel was picked up as a stray and held at the county pound to give his owners a chance to find him. No one came to take him home.

Appearance:  Scruffy, unkempt with major fly bites on both ears and top of his head

Incoming physical condition:   Intact male, internal parasites, good body weight, fly bitten ears and scabs on top of head. Skin scraping done to eliminate possible skin disease or parasite.

Estimated age:  Approximately 2 or less based on condition and whiteness of teeth

Temperament:  Playful, happy-go-lucky young male. Eager to please, and very affectionate

Training:  Needs basic obedience to improve general manners. Will be an excellent dog, great companion

Notes:  

It's very probable that Danny is part Siberian based on his bone structure and movement but he sure has enough of that great Samoyed personality to qualify for rescue assistance. (Much of his coat had been clipped) Danny is estimated to be 1 to 2 years old and he loves to give kisses and snuggle with humans of any size. This dog is filled with a love for life in all ways. Scratch his chest and he collapses to his back for a fully belly rub. They don't come any better than this!!
 
Danny is currently boarded due to the lack of foster space and NISA would love to see him find a home soon.  Danny has some basic obedience, UTD, recently neutered and ready to share quality time with some lucky person. Call now 847-255-4815 and make Danny's dream come true!!!!

Danny has been receiving weekly socialization/manners training since September of last year. The improvement is amazing! He is so much calmer than when NISA first took him under it's wing. If you're into jogging or walking Danny would be a great partner and just his presence alone would provide protection for those late night jaunts. 

On those rainy days, Danny would love to curl up at your side while you read a good book and relax.  He loves belly rubs and literally will collapse on his back at the slightest touch. Playful? You bet! You name it and the game is on.  Whatever you're looking for in a canine "Best Friend" you will find it in Danny. Best of all you can confide your inner most feelings to Danny and he won't tell a soul.
